I’m an artist from Rovaniemi and I create my art at my home gallery Sutiranta by the lake Mellalampi. The heart of my work is the Nature and its details, telling the essence of life in its simplicity. The short summer and long days of darkness in the Arctic give light a special meaning for us. The exceptional midnight sun illuminates the colors on the surface of water and foliage. The landscape of colors possesses an unique atmosphere and sense of emotion.

Delving deep into a painting causes the art to take on a life of its own—and the result can often be surprising. Through the interaction of light and shadow I try to find the connection between the Nature and Man, which is itself a fascinating mystery. If we look at the Nature with an open mind it tells us more than a human being ever could.

I hope my art helps the viewer find the joy of the colors and the power of light.
